Harmaein Lubis, S.H., CTA.

Harmaein Lubis is the Founder and Managing Partner of NLHP. He graduated from Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) and has obtained an Advocate License from the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI). He has worked as a Lawyer for more than 10 years and is able to work in both litigation and non-litigation fields.

In practice, litigation and non-litigation law are different but inseparable. He believes that experience and ability in both areas help him in determining more appropriate and effective legal actions.

Before establishing NLHP, Harmaein Lubis had years of experience working in several well-known and prominent law firms in Jakarta since 2012. He is also a Curator and Administrator of the Indonesian Association of Curators and Administrators (IKAPI) and also has a Customs and Excise Legal Counsel License from the Tax Court.

Harmaein Lubis has experience in coordinating and managing commercial disputes and restructuring processes in Indonesia. He regularly assists clients with high-value, complex and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Harmaein Lubis often handles big and difficult cases. In 2016, Harmaein assisted and accompanied PT PLN (Persero) in land acquisition in Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang Regency. In addition, Harmaein was also the legal counsel for PT PLN (Persero) in a land dispute at the Tangerang District Court.

Harmaein was once the attorney for PT Gunung Raja Paksi, Tbk. (the largest steel company in Indonesia) which at that time had the status of “In Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU)” and had succeeded in revoking the PKPU as referred to in Article 259 of Law No. 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and PKPU on March 22, 2021. The revocation of the PKPU at that time was a “Landmark Decision” because it was something new and had never been done before.

In 2022, Harmaein handled a leading textile company in Indonesia in a Customs dispute with a case value of more than 100 billion Rupiah and proceeded both at the Tax Court Appeal level and the Review level at the Supreme Court.
